We had a great club event to Derby Velodrome on Saturday 11th November. 37 of us rode the boards, all safely and good fun for everyone. It was fantastic to see so many juniors (12 riders + 2 parent riders) joining in with the adults and giving them a run for their money. Fastest rider was Sam Abbott (still a Junior). We were also joined by life club member Geoff Cook, the amazing Olympian, commonwealth champion and 60 time world masters champion. So smooth around the track and quick. We had a number of mini races throughout the event and even though short in duratin, they are extremely tough physically, I'm sure everyone slept well. Many thanks to John Johnson and Johnson Coaches for taking us all. Hopefully we can organise another event next year some time.
