The Club Time Trial competitions, open to first claim members only are detailed as follows:

Please note: You must be a member of a RTTC affiliated club to race our club time trials. You can not join Stratford Cycling Club on a race night you must be a member for at least 24 hours before competing.

Road Race - won by the rider accumulating the highest points in the season based on the BCF points system. In event of points being tied the committee will adjudicate the winner.

Scratch Club Time Trial Points - won by the rider accumulating the highest points total from his/her best 6 (Aero Event) results (but who must have ridden at least one 25 mile) in club time trials. Based on 20 points allocated to the winner, down to one point for 20th place.

Handicap Time Trial Points - won by the rider amassing the highest points total on net handicap position, using the same scoring formula as for the scratch points.

Veteran Standard Time Trial Points - As for “scratch” above, but open to veteran riders only.

Club BAR (Men) - won by the male obtaining the highest average of three speeds (fastest 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles respectively). The competition will be based on rides carried out between 1st March and 1st October each year. This will be confined to Stratford Cycling Club club events; however in the event that the club 50 mile trial has to be cancelled, any Open 50 event result will qualify. Results sheets for Open events must be submitted to the Time Trial Secretary by 31st October of that year.

Club BAR (Women) – won by the female obtaining the highest average of three speeds (10- 12 miles(x2) and 25 miles respectively).  The competition will be based on rides carried out between 1st March and 1st October each year.  This will be confined to Stratford Cycling Club events.

Hill Climb – Won by the rider with the fastest time in the Club Hill Climb event

ZWIFT - Awarded to the fastest rider of the end of the seasons Zwift WTRL races. A handicapped race of those riders who competed in the WTRL race series, raced on a Zwift course. 

Most Improved - male, female and junior Riders (3 awards). This is a discretionary award made by the Committee to the male, female and junior riders judged to have made the greatest improvement.

Clubman of the Year – a discretionary award made by the Committee to the member they consider to have made the greatest contribution to the Club over the previous year.

The Robert Heenan - memorial Trophy will be awarded to the most outstanding Junior Rider of the year.

Youth and Junior Time Trial trophies

Youths (Aged 12-16)

Rules:

  1. The competition is open to all youths as defined by British Cycling
  2. The competition will comprise of club time trials on the 'Quiet courses’ up to 15 miles, including roadman’s events and the Hill climb.
  3. Points will be awarded to eligible riders for each event with 20 points for 1st place, 19 for 2nd and so on.
  4. The riders best 4 performances will count, the rider with the highest total being the winner.

Juniors (Aged 16-18)

Rules:

  1. The Competition is open to all Juniors as defined by the CTT.
  2. The competition comprises of club time trials on the ‘quiet courses’ up to 25 miles including roadman events and the hill climb.
  3. Points will be awarded to eligible riders for each event with 20 points for 1st place, 19 for 2nd and so on.
  4. The rider’s best 6 performances will count, the rider with the highest total being the winner.
